We are very excited to launch PTA University!

Are you currently a home schooled athlete, enrolled in an online charter school or looking to enroll in virtual learning and looking to improve your baseball skills?  PTA University has a great offering for you.

CLASS IS IN SESSION - STARTING 9/1/26 - 6/4/27

PTA University Provides:

• OPTION 1
  • Student Athletes attend PTAU from 9:00a-2:30p Monday - Friday
  • A typical day will include classroom work from 9:00-11:30a, lunch from 11:30-12:15p and training from 12:15p-2:30p
    • Start and finish times may vary based on school district associated with online learning
  • Each day training includes position specific training, speed & agility, recovery and nutrition sessions
  • Training is lead by our experienced team of coaches at PTA
• Education:
  • PTAU helps students enroll with the appropriate online charter school.  We are proud to work primarily with Wisconsin Virtual Learning

      • Wisconsin Virtual Academy
      • K12
      • iForward Wisconsin
      • Acellus Academy
  • PTAU provides a comfortable environment for Student Athletes to complete their daily studies at the MOSH Performance Center
    • PTAU also as has staff on site to assist students
• Baseball Training
  • PTA's team of coaches led by Travis Thompson will design player specific training to help each player achieve his or her individual goals.  
  • We will utilize our 77,000 sq ft indoor training facility and partner with Watts+Diesel for specific speed and strength training.

• OPTION 2
  • Student Athletes Attend PTA from 12:15p-2:30p Monday - Friday
  • Players will only attend the athletic portion of the day which includes:
    • Position specific training, speed & agility, recovery and nutrition sessions

Program Coordinator:

Coach Travis Thompson is a former professional player with a decorated career. Drafted in the 12th round by the Colorado Rockies in 1996, he was a key part of Madison Area Technical College's first-ever national championship, earning NJCAA World Series All-Tournament honors and All-American accolades. He was also selected to play for Team USA in the 2005 Pan Am Games in Mexico. Coach Thompson specializes in training former PTA pro and college players and has been a cornerstone of the PTA coaching staff since 2015.
